Only through a long and winding road, at times narrow and steep, you can reach Montemerano, a medieval village where time seems to be stopped.
It is a joy for heart and sight, glimpsing it suddenly from the last hairpin bends.
A country with a long history behind it, which does not love talking about itself, but reveals itself in every gorge. Amid romantic corners, ancient stone houses leant one another and cobblestoned and loping alleys of the historical centre, you can see Caino’s sign placed over a small entrance consisting in a wooden door and three steps leading down into the family Menichetti’s realm.
